The current Board was established in June 2007.
The Board comprises 16 members who are appointed by the three councils with the Argyll & Bute Council and West Dunbartonshire Council each nominating 5 members and East Dunbartonshire Council 6 members. Convenor, Cllr Vaughan Moody (East Dunbartonshire Council), Vice-Convenor, Cllr Jim Finn (West Dunbartonshire Council).
